Many questions, but one simple answer.

Engage with your customers. Email, phone, smoke signals and sky writing. Do whatever it takes to get their feedback.

Hands off automated business do not exist in the long term. You might have a clever way to make money today, but if you want it to last, you have got to be talking to customers anytime you have chance. And to be great, you need to create ways of engaging with your customers.
