Tell us about Mozeet
We’re a bit mum on what we’re actually doing but we are building a community recruiting tool for jobseekers. We’re a company that is really focused on innovating HR software. Keep track of us on Twitter and/or Facebook, we’re going to be using them soon to talk to future customers about how we see modern recruiting and jobhunting.
Who or what inspires you and why?
We get inspired by things that from the outside look dull and boring, like HR, but inside have the dynamics of psychology, sociology and intuition. It’s because there is so much room for improvement and innovation and we want to help people find the right job, grow into the careerist they want to be and then help them find the right opportunities, either inside or outside of the company they work in. We’ve been in this business for a long time and we’re so excited for this inflection point. The chance to change the way people work really gets our blood pumping.
What advice do you have for anyone just getting started with a new business?
The biggest thing I can say is mind your expenses but don’t be afraid to spend money on something you won’t do well or as quickly as someone else. Especially in the early days, the ability to quickly and cheaply do things that free you up to focus on the things where you really provide value is just invaluable. Crowdsourcing logos and website designs, using pre-built templates for your corporate site, using Google Apps to manage your email, docs, etc. Unless you got into business to do those things, outsource and execute faster. But really weigh the cost/benefit!
What do you like most about KickoffLabs?
Going on my point above, the reason I love KickoffLabs, even though I could have built it myself (no offence, I’m a developer. ;) ), I can’t build it in the same time it took me to signup and be ready. Also, I couldn’t have done as good of a job. So, I love KickoffLabs because this is something every new business needs so that they can market prior to release and being able to say in my daily status update,
We have a signup page, means that something that could have been a bottleneck is now a powerslide. I don’t even think twice about my signup page or how to manage those signups, what to do when I want to send out updates, etc. It’s all in a handy interface with a plethora of features I wouldn’t have even thought of and I still get to track it all with my Google analytics. Why aren’t you guys adding customers at gatling gun pace??
I do wish you guys every success and I’ll be keen to see your improvements and new products. I think you’re on to something wonderful.
