Scott and I talked all the time about product and business ideas we thought would be cool. But talking to each other was never going to help zero us in on something that would be successful. Selling batman costumes for dogs might be a real winner… But the question is how many people would even pay you their attention for that idea?
I had a spreadsheet of ideas like this when we realized what we really needed was a way to create a landing page for a few of them and see which ones got the most interest from people that would pay us money. Then we needed a way to work with those customers and refine our product for a real launch. That was the genesis of KickoffLabs. Something to you Kickoff and run a product lab together in one package.
Not every concept will make our launch, but the customer list we’re building today will help us determine what’s next.
